PRESIDING JUDGE MANDY LARSEN

Judge Mandy Larsen

Judge Mandy Larsen was appointed to the Sixth District Court by Governor Spencer Cox and took the oath of office in April 2022.  She serves Sevier, Sanpete, Wayne, Piute, Garfield, and Kane counties.  Judge Larsen received a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 2003.  She was a member of the Education and Law Journal and a member of the NALSA moot court team.  After law school, she was a law clerk / bailiff to Commissioner Patton and Judge Donald Eyre, Jr at the Fourth District Court.  Judge Larsen started her own law firm in 2004 with an office sharing arrangement at the law firm Esplin | Weight in Provo, Utah where she practiced primarily in the areas of criminal defense, family law, probate law, and juvenile law.  Judge Larsen also handled several criminal defense contracts.  In 2008, Judge Larsen relocated her practice to Richfield, Utah where she held a public defense contract with Sevier County.  In 2009, Judge Larsen also began working as a certified mediator.  In 2014, Judge Larsen began working as a prosecutor for the Sevier County Attorney’s Office and Gunnison City. 3/2023
