- It’s okay to remind your parents that you are not their friend, you are their child.
What if it keeps happening? Sometimes parents don’t always get the message if that is the case; use one of the tips below.
- Walking out of the room: Say something like “I’ve tried telling you to not talk to me about this stuff. I am taking a break.”
- Write a thought out letter expressing your feelings
- Contact your GAL if one is assigned
- Talk to a trusted adult
