ASSOCIATE PRESIDING JUDGE GREG LAMB

Judge Greg Lamb was appointed to the Eighth District Court by Governor Gary Herbert and confirmed by the State Senate in December 2020. He serves Daggett, Duchesne and Uintah counties. Judge Lamb is a lifetime resident of the Uinta Basin and graduated from Altamont High School in Duchesne County. He holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy, and B.A. and B.S. degrees from Brigham Young University. Judge Lamb received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah College of Law in 2001. From 2001 to 2002 Judge Lamb served in the Office for Civil Rights with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services in Denver Colorado, and then served as Guardian ad Litem Attorney in the Eighth District from 2002 to 2005. Judge Lamb joined the Uintah County Attorney's Office in 2005 where he served as Deputy County Attorney and Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney before forming the law firm Stringham & Lamb with his good friend in 2012. In private practice Judge Lamb practiced in the areas of family and civil law and parental and criminal defense. Judge Lamb was in private practice until 2018 when he was elected as Uintah County Attorney. He served in that capacity until his appointment to the bench. Along with his civil and criminal calendars Judge Lamb serves as a statewide Water Law Judge and Drug Court Judge for Uintah County. He also serves on the Utah Judicial Council's Ethics Advisory Committee.    4/25
