1What is MyPaperwork?

MyPaperwork can help you prepare papers to file in court. It can help you with these kinds of cases:

  • Divorce - if you are asking for a divorce (the petitioner) or responding to a divorce (the respondent)

MyPaperwork will ask you questions. Based on your answers, it will prepare the paperwork you need.

Don't see your case listed? See if OCAP can help or contact the Self-Help Center.

MyPaperwork is new. We are working to add more cases and features. Check back here for the latest updates.

How do I create an account?

Visit the registration page and follow the instructions. You will need an email address. Once you register, the system will send you an email to confirm your account.

Didn't receive the email?

  • make sure you enter your email address correctly
  • check you junk mail folder
  • wait at least 10 minutes for the email to arrive

Having problems? Watch this video for help.

When you log in, click "Start Here" to start your interview.

MyPaperwork will ask you questions. Look for asterisks (*) and text in red to tell you when there are invalid answers.

Need some help? Watch this video for some guidance.

At the end of your interview, click the "Download" button. Follow the instructions in the window that appears. Only click the download button once! Clicking it repeatedly will slow down the process.

How long will it take? At least 15 minutes. It takes a lot of computer power to get your paperwork ready. When several people try to download their paperwork at the same time, it could take about an hour before your papers are ready. Look for an email from MyCase to see when your papers are ready.

Once you get the email, log back in to MyPaperwork and download your papers. Make sure you download your papers within 7 days. After that, they will be deleted and you will need to start the download process again.

OCAP is our current system to help people with their papers. We are slowly moving things out of OCAP and into MyPaperwork.

Right now, only new divorces are in MyPaperwork. If you started your divorce case on or before September 28, 2024, you will need to log back into to OCAP to finish your case. Otherwise, use MyPaperwork.
