Sam Mekrut (she/her) is a Master Mediator and founder of TalkWorks, LLC. Trained in CA and Utah, Sam became Utah court-qualified in general and divorce/domestic mediation in 2014 and 2015, respectively. For nearly 8 years, Sam worked as a Child Welfare Mediator in Utah’s Juvenile Court, conducting hundreds of multi-party mediations involving child abuse and neglect. Sam has worked extensively with people who have experienced mental health challenges, domestic violence, substance use disorders and trauma. Sam is also trained in Restorative Conferencing and Facilitated Dialogue. Membership/volunteer service include Mountain Mediation Center, the Restorative Justice Collaborative of Utah, UCCR and UDR.
