JUDGE BRENT H. BARTHOLOMEW
Judge Brent H. Bartholomew was appointed by Governor Gary R. Herbert to the Fourth District Juvenile Court in 2013. Prior to taking the bench, he worked at the Utah Office of Guardian ad Litem, Utah Legal Services, and as an adjunct assistant professor for the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He is certified as a Child Welfare Law Specialist by the National Association of Counsel for Children. Judge Bartholomew serves as Chair for the Board of Juvenile Court Judges, also on the Committee on Court Forms, the Court Improvement Program Training Steering Committee, and Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission Normalization–Juror Subcommittee. In 2013, he was named “Mentor of the Year” by the Utah State Bar and in 2006 received the “Child Advocate Award” by the Utah County Child Abuse Council. Judge Bartholomew earned his Juris Doctor degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School and holds an MBA degree and a BS degree, summa cum laude, in psychology. 5/24
